Making the Most of Your Bountiful Cilantro Harvest

Freezing herbs in olive oil is a convenient way to preserve their freshness and flavor. The olive oil acts as a protective barrier, preventing the herbs from freezer burn while also infusing them with its own rich flavor. This method also makes it easy to use the herbs later on; you can simply pop out a frozen herb-oil cube and add it directly to your cooking, eliminating the need for chopping or thawing. Plus, it's a great way to make the most of a bountiful herb harvest from your garden!

Instructions

1. Wash and dry the cilantro thoroughly.

2. Remove the leaves from the stems and chop them finely in a food processor.

4. Add olive oil to cilantro, just enough to lightly coat the cilantro.

5. Pulse the mixture until well combined.

6. Spoon the mixture into ice cube trays and freeze until solid.

8. Pop out the frozen cilantro-oil cubes and store them in a freezer-safe bag or container.

Happy cooking and enjoy the delicious flavors of your garden all year round!
